I would like to introduce you to watercolor.

Most people think it is a difficult medium and I think I know why.

All of us have an individual style. We each have a distinct handwriting style just as we have a distinct style when painting. Why try to paint like someone else? Why not relax and enjoy the way you paint?

Maybe you painted with watercolors in school and you used inferior paper. Schools usually do not have the budget to buy quality paper that students should be using, especially for watercolor.

Or maybe . . .

You started a watercolor class but bought a cheaper paper because you reasoned that you weren`t "good enough yet" to rationalize buying the more expensive, but necessary, paper. Because the paper is texture-embossed does not always mean that it is a good paper for watercolor painting. The paper must absorb the paint.

Or maybe . . .

You tried watercolor and the paint sat there in a puddle or you created with mud. Nothing worked the way it was supposed to. You begain to view accomplished watercolor artists as real geniuses.

Read on . . .

Now the secret is out - it's the paper.
Your first hurdle is over.
