Boo and Lauae

Lauae fern says Hawaii to me as much as any palm tree or hibiscus. Lauae graces Hawaiian yards, luau tables, and adds to any local flower arrangement. My yard is filled with patches of lauae, and I have played hide and seek with my cats many times through the ferns. If you look carefully, you will see Boo hiding behind the fern. Those of you who know my work, know that Boo, my cat, is a favorite subject of mine to paint. She is a very special cat - silky black and very dense in weight!
