'Peggy's Dream' CD - Music by Daniel Ho
A portrayal of island life through the art of Peggy Chun and the music of Daniel Ho. Set to the beautiful imagery of Peggy's inviting watercolors, this collection of some of Daniel's most recognized songs feature a musical palette of Hawaiian slack key guitar, 'ukulele, acoustic rock, smooth jazz, and Asian-influenced themes.
Producers notes:
We met Peggy a little over a year ago and were blessed by her spirit and heart of gold. Recently, we received an email from the Friends of Peggy Chun, letting us know of Peggy's increasing medical expenses. We wanted to do something to help, and thought about doing an album of beautiful music, featuring Peggy's wonderful and whimsical watercolors on the cover, and doing it as a benefit to help raise money for Peggy.
We wanted the music to above all be positive and uplifting, as well as capture the essence of Peggy's paintings...light-hearted and fun, vibrant and charming. The first person we thought of was Grammy award winner Daniel Ho. Before the words were out of our mouth, Daniel agreed to do this project. Each song was hand-picked by Daniel as a tribute to Peggy and life in these islands. This is a collection of his most well-known and beloved tunes.
We will be donating $2 from each sale to Friends of Peggy Chun. Peggy has also generously agreed to share part of the proceeds with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
This project was a labor of love for us, and we hope it will put a smile in your heart too.
