Ginger Riot
| Red ginger is a favorite subject of mine to paint because the red complements the green of all those luscious tropical leaves filling the painting. The white of the shell ginger allows me to leave the sparkle of the white watercolor paper, which provides a dramatic contrast for the darks in the painting. Ginger abounds everywhere in Hawaii and is an island favorite for bouquets and lei. |
