Manoa Stream
| Hawaii's rivers and streams are indescribably beautiful with their mossy rocks, splashing water and abundant tropical foliage. Everyone has his favorite swimming ole, and this one is a secret spot along Manoa Stream in Manoa Valley on the island of Oahu. I love to paint ti leaves and mossy rock because I enjoy using a wet-into-wet technique in each shape. The white of water is actually just the watercolor paper that I've left unpainted, which gives the water its sparkle. The original size of this painting hangs in a private collection in Manoa Valley. |
