Vive La Liberte
| This image came into my mind after a visit to France in 1989. The French take great pride in their produce and presentation. The fruits and vegetables are placed in perfect rows and no one ever touches or squeezes the wares. You simply trust the vendor to provide the freshest and choicest product. One does not insult by choosing his own. I envisioned the wife waking up one morning, ready to end the monotony she had endured for years. She has had a fantasy for years of painting faces on the oranges. Oh how they have begged for faces! So, today she breaks free to face the world on her terms. Vive la Liberte! |
